Introducing Climate Resilient by Nature

Climate Resilient by Nature (CRxN) is an Australian Government initiative, in partnership with WWF-Australia, advancing high-integrity, equitable nature-based solutions to climate change in the Indo-Pacific.

Launched in 2021, it supports projects that work with communities to restore and protect critical ecosystems, build sustainable livelihoods and increase resilience to climate shocks. CRxN is funded by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) with additional funding provided by the Mekong Australia Partnership - Energy, Water and Climate (MAP-WEC).

More Pacific and Southeast Asian communities are deploying nature-based solutions to protect and restore critical ecosystems and build community resilience.

Achieve progress towards new high-integrity carbon markets linked to nature-based solutions investments

Increased engagement of governments, civil society organisations and private sector with nature-based solutions.

More communities can access new and/or diversified livelihood opportunities through nature-based solutions.

Women, youth, people with disabilities and other marginalised groups are benefitting from and more involved in decision-making related to nature-based solutions.
